(iva) Social changes brought about by the introduction of new information and communications technologies |
The aim of this key action is to investigate social changes brought about by the more widespread use of information and communications technologies, which have a major bearing on social and communicative behaviour. The involvement of a full range of social groups is also important. On the basis of the work, it will be possible to draw conclusions regarding suitable measures which could be taken to facilitate access to these media for all population groups. This action will focus as a matter of priority on: |
- the use of the new media by various population groups, taking particular account of age, sex, social status, professional training and nationality, |
- social risks and benefits of home and teleworking, particularly for women, and development of models designed to safeguard telejobs, |
- changes in social and communicative behaviour, particularly among young people, as a result of the use of information and communications technologies. |
